Christian Education and Nurture Commission

Purpose

Oversee Youth & Family Life, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Discovery Club, small group ministry, Kidz 4 Jesus, church retreats, women’s groups, men’s prayer breakfast, and other duties assigned by the Ad Council.

Constitutional Responsibilities

Part 5.03 Christian Education and Nurture

(a) This commission shall work in the area of educating and nurturing persons in the way of Jesus Christ.

(b) This commission shall promote fellowship in the church and shall actively seek to involve others in the life of the church.

(c) This commission shall work with the Youth and Family Life Associate in the development and oversight of programs for the youth and family and with the Sunday School Superintendent(s) for the advancement of the Sunday School.

(d) This commission shall oversee the following areas: Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Adventure Club [now Discovery Club], Small Group Ministry, Youth and Family Life, Junior and Children’s Church [now one program called Kidz 4 Jesus], Retreat(s), WCSC, Men’s Group, Men’s Prayer Breakfast, and any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Administrative Council.
